Top 5: Las Palabras Más Utilizadas (in English)

La colega mobuzzera Olivia Waters, blogger de recién ingreso y entusiasta del lenguaje, nos comparte su lista de las palabras más utilizadas por ella durante el 2007. Como se puede ver, no niega la cruz de su parroquia:

1.) Rubbish - An incredibly useful word to describe everything even slightly, well, rubbish.
2.) Reckon - I have found, when writing at least, that I use reckon over think. I have no idea why. An English thing I reckon.
3.) Shindig - I don´t use this very often. But I should…cos it sounds lovely.
4.) Hootenanny - See comment number 3
5.) Bollocks - A borderline swear word with multiple meanings, and oh-so-English.

So there you have it. Obviously, there are lots of other words that I like…..like….pants, monkey, splendid, super, boobs, lovely, righty-ho, munch, babble, shoes, chocolate, squish, squash……you get the idea.
